Lodge Member Announced as Bank President

An article on a new bank in the area, Annapolis Community Bank, was published in The Capital on Sunday, June 10, 2007.  A member of Annapolis Lodge No. 89, Eric Edstrom, is the bank's president:

The city's newest bank, Annapolis Community Bank, is set to open its first location at 1419 Forest Drive by late summer. Officials said they don't have plans to open any other branches.

The bank, a division of a Towson-based holding company called AmericasBank, will provide loans to homeowners and small businesses, and finance real estate projects, said Eric Edstrom, the bank's president.

"If you want a local, community-oriented, personable financial institution that will be responsible and accessible to you and your financial needs, then we're going to be that," said Mr. Edstrom, who also is president of the Annapolis Rotary Club.
