Community

nnapolis Lodge No. 89 has a long-established history of local and national charity through volunteer service and financial support. Members of our Lodge are encouraged to actively participate in Annapolis community activities and give to charities. The following are some examples how Annapolis Lodge has given their support to the Annapolis community.

  • Masons regularly give blood through the Grand Lodge of Maryland's Blood Donor Service. The Annapolis Masons have also started to sponsor several Blood Drives through the AAMC.
  • In 1910, the Lodge fully equipped a room at the Annapolis Emergency Hospital and the Annapolis Masons donated a large amount of money to the Anne Arundel Medical Center in the 1950s
  • The Lodge gives an annual scholarship to a recipient determined by the Scholarship committee
  • The Lodge gave land to the city of Annapolis in 1972 in order for the Downtown Parking Garage to be built (Now called the Noah Hillman Parking Garage).
  • We support local youth programs, such as DeMolay, Rainbow Girls, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
  • Annapolis Lodge, in conjunction with the other Anne Arundel county lodges, have purchased equipment for the Child Identification Program (CHIP).  This equipment will be utilized at several public events throughout the county.
